Packing list for a stay outside the home
You have decided to leave your dog for a period of time with friends, relatives or at boarding kennels or you have found a canine-friendly way of spending your holiday with your dog. Have all formalities been taken care of, has your dog had all the required vaccinations and has he been wormed and treated for fleas?
Then you are ready to get going – with the packing! As your dog cannot pack for himself, you have to think of everything that a dog needs and of those things that your dog in particular needs. To help you in this task, we have compiled a packing list of items that you need to remember:
Essential items for going for walks:
- collar displaying both the holiday and home address
- lead and 8in1 Poop Patrol poop bags (store in a handy dispenser that attaches to the lead)
- where required: muzzle
- for longer walks: food and water, possibly treats as a reward
Essential items for a dog-friendly, familiar environment:
- dog basket or transport box for sleeping and resting
- blankets
- familiar toys
- food and water bowls
- supply of usual food in order to avoid any further stress caused by a change in diet
- chew bones and possibly treats
Essential items for grooming and healthcare:
